Adrar, whose name means "stone, rock, mountain" into Berber (in Tifinagh ⴰ ⴷ ⵔ ⴰ ⵔ in Tifinagh) is a Saharan town of Algeria, capital of the wilaya of the same name in the region Gourara. The city has 43 903 inhabitants.
Adrar decides locally Adghagh ( "rock" in Berber) is the English transcript which made Adrar. It is probably a particular language called formal-semantic confusion (unique to the southern Berber), rather than a particular phonetic (r / gh).
